Marvelous is a fabulous colt too! He has everything that you would look for in a smaller dressage horse. He has excellent conformation, disposition (friendly, curious, outgoing) and has the wonderful cuppy feet from both parents. He will be a bit more compact from nose to tail. He will mature around 16 hands although anything can happen.
His mother, Katie, is a wonderful trail horse. Katie stands 15 hands tall and was born bay which turned gray. She is a registered 1/2 Andalusian x 1/4 QH and 1/4 Arabian. Katie has been used only as my trail horse and a good one she is. (Andalusians are noted for their dressage abilities. They are a more compact and powerful horse. I also like that the Arabian is added to give a bit more endurance. Andalusian's and Arabians are added to many, many warmblood breeds are based off of these two breeds.) Katie is level headed and willing to please at any turn. Her babies generally go with her on the trails and down the road. They go in the trailer for rides with her to the trails. Sometimes her babies are tied to her saddle or allowed to go free depending on how busy the trails are on a given day. She is a bit protective of her babies from strange horses. She takes mothering very seriously and loves her babies to a fault. Katie has three nice gaits and produces spectacular babies. Katie has excellent feet which will allow her to ride for hours on gravel roads and on rocky trails without shoes. Her babies all seem to get this thus no shoes will likely be needed on Marvelous or Glamour Girl.
